The beautiful Praca De Cascais plaza is Located in the heart of downtown Sausalito and owned by the City. The Cascais Plaza was born out of the Sausalito Sister Cities Program, which enhances international relationships through educational and cultural exchange. In 2018, Cascais gifted Sausalito with the Praça de Cascais mosaic. The city of Cascais provided the design, materials, and artisans to install the traditional compass rose mosaic, which was formally dedicated by the prime minister of Portugal.
