4th of July

Celebrate Independence Day in Sausalito with a full day of waterfront festivities, all free and open to the public, from morning to night.

Kick things off at 10:00am in Old Town as the parade winds along Bridgeway to Dunphy Park, featuring community groups, local businesses, and festive spirit throughout. Afterward, settle in at Dunphy Park from 12:00–4:00pm for a laid-back picnic with live music, food vendors, and family-favorite games like tug-of-war and the annual egg toss.

As the sun sets, head to Gabrielson Park for the evening celebration starting at 6:30pm, with live entertainment, food, and a lively crowd gathering along the waterfront. Bring a blanket or low-back chair and enjoy the festive atmosphere as the sky begins to darken.

The night concludes with a dazzling fireworks display over the San Francisco Bay from 9:15–9:30pm, lighting up the harbor in a memorable finale. Help keep this cherished tradition alive by donating to the fireworks fund and doing your part to keep Sausalito’s parks and shoreline clean throughout the day.
